Long before the first stone was laid, La Dunya began as a dream.
A dream of creating a peaceful retreat where people from around the world can reconnect with themselves, nature and the authentic spirit of Zanzibar.
Today, that dream is slowly becoming reality—one step, one wall and one milestone at a time

2024 – The Journey Begins

Every meaningful journey starts with a single step.
• Land acquired in Kajengwa
• Vision and concept developed
• Architectural design and planning completed
• First preparations for construction

The day La Dunya became more than a dream. Together with our local partners, we stood on the land where our journey would begin.

2025 – Building the Dream

Every great dream is built one stone at a time.

In 2025, construction officially began. Together with local craftsmen and builders, the first foundations were laid. Every wall, every stone and every day of work brought La Dunya one step closer to becoming reality.
